Douglas Scott Ltd is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer in Somerset to join a close-knit Residential Property team. You will run your own files from instruction to completion, dealing directly with clients and the professionals involved in each transaction.
Expect real autonomy, a supportive team, and the chance to make your mark in a friendly high street firm. This role offers quality work, a strong pipeline of conveyancing matters, and a competitive salary with generous benefits.
Finally An Opportunity Worth Moving For !
How would you like to enjoy good work, great people and a real career opportunity.
You may not be looking to move.
In fact, if you're an experienced residential conveyancer who is happy where you are, we're probably not the easiest firm to tempt you away from your current role.
But if the right opportunity came along — one offering good quality work, genuine autonomy, a supportive team and the chance to make your mark — would you take a look?
My client is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a close-knit Residential Property team.
This is not a role where you'll get lost in a large department, become another fee earner on a spreadsheet or spend your days battling through an unmanageable caseload.
You'll have your own clients, your own files, proper responsibility and the opportunity to become a key part of the team.
Because sometimes the next step isn't about chasing a bigger title.
It's about finding a firm where you can do good work, enjoy coming to work and actually be noticed for what you contribute.
Here, you'll have:
We’re a family‑friendly firm and believe that a successful career shouldn't come at the expense of having a life outside work. We offer a genuinely supportive environment and a sensible approach to work‑life balance.
You’ll run your own residential conveyancing files from initial instruction through to completion, dealing directly with clients and the professionals involved in each transaction.
Your day‑to‑day work will include:
We’re ideally looking for someone with 3 years'+ residential conveyancing experience, who is confident managing their own caseload and takes pride in doing things properly.
The department is headed by a Partner with more than 20 years' experience in residential conveyancing, giving you access to a depth of knowledge and experience that is invaluable when you need it.
But this isn't about being micromanaged.
It's about having the support around you to do your best work — and the freedom to make your role your own.
This could be the move you weren't looking for.
If you're an experienced residential conveyancer and your current role is fine but you're wondering whether there could be something better — this is worth a conversation.
