Job Description:

My client is a modern, ambitious, and dynamic Legal Law Firm with a broad presence across the country, seeking a Residential Property Paralegal to join their team.

The role involves assisting with and undertaking routine domestic and other conveyancing work. The successful candidate should handle pressure and work to tight deadlines, providing excellent client care and satisfaction.

You should be highly structured, with a clear understanding of the Residential Conveyancing process, involved in matters such as:

  • Supporting fee earners with conveyancing caseloads and providing backup for domestic and other conveyancing work
  • Providing quotations
  • Undertaking necessary searches
  • Liaising with Estate Agents
  • Producing standard contract documentation
  • Assisting with enquiries
  • Handling exchange, completion, and post-completion formalities (including Stamp Duty Land Tax, Companies House, and Land Registry Registrations)
  • File closures
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing ongoing service to existing clients
  • Collaborating with Partners and Fee Earners to develop new business
  • Developing and enhancing the Conveyancing Department, maximizing cross-referrals
  • Achieving fee income targets
  • Staying informed of legal and practice changes
  • Maintaining up-to-date legal skills
  • Managing financial control, including cash flow and billing
  • Keeping accurate records of time spent
  • Performing fee-earning work reliably, adhering to quality and risk procedures
