Residential Children Support Worker Role - Stoke-on-Trent

Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children?

We are currently seeking a Residential Children Support Worker to join our team in Stoke-on-trent.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Residential Children Support Worker in a residential setting within the last 3 years.
  • Own car and a full driving license in the UK.
  • Must possess an updated DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.
  • Individuals who have resided outside the UK for more than 6 months within the last 5 years should provide a valid Police Clearance certificate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care and support to children in a residential setting.
  • Promote a safe and nurturing environment for children's physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Support children in daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational pursuits.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as per regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of children.
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
