Job summary

Lancashire County Council in Lytham is hiring a Children's Residential Deputy Manager to lead teams across residential settings. The role combines operational oversight with direct care, ensuring care plans, outcomes, and regulatory requirements are met.

You'll work Monday to Friday, 7am–7pm, and partner with the Home Manager. A QCF/NVQ Leadership & Management qualification and 3+ years in residential children's services are expected, along with a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• QCF 4 or NVQ 3 or 4 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Residential Children and Young People's Services or equivalent.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle – essential car user post

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise teams of Residential Childcare Workers and Senior Residential Childcare Workers.
• Oversee individual care plans, health and educational outcomes.
• Attend reviews and multi-agency meetings as required.
• Support staff development and service-wide training initiatives
