Job Title: Residential Children’s Home Team Leader

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: hours per week

Responsible to: Registered Manager

Location: Lancaster

Salary: Basic salary of £, with a potential to earn up to £, with sleep-in shifts.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Residential Team Leader to join our established Residential Team at Bayview. The role involves working in one of our family-like children’s homes in Capernwray, Carnforth, with a maximum of four young people per home.

Our service requires individuals committed to guiding young people aged - with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties towards success, supporting our ethos, and providing a safe, secure, homely, and positive environment to improve their lives.

You will assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the Home, ensuring continuous improvement and maintaining our ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’ Ofsted ratings. You will deputise for the Registered Manager when necessary and must hold a full UK driving license.

Minimum Qualification: Diploma Level in Working with Children & Young People.

Childcare Provision and Standards:
  • Care plans are produced, reviewed, and submitted for approval as per standards
  • Adherence to legal requirements, Ofsted standards, and policies
  • Feedback from residents and relevant parties is documented and communicated
  • All staff are aware of behaviour standards and address deviations professionally
  • Staff work proactively to build relationships and create an inclusive environment
Business Management and Improvement:
  • Manage daily operations and finances within budget
  • Ensure quality standards for food and activities
  • Assist in menu planning, cooking, and purchasing
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development plan
Staff Management:
  • Manage staff fairly, conduct performance reviews, and handle absences
  • Ensure staff appearance and hygiene standards
  • Ensure health and safety compliance
