The Role

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the children\'s home, ensuring it operates in line with Ofsted regulations and delivers outstanding outcomes for young people.

  • Provide effective leadership and management of the staff team.
  • Ensure the home meets all regulatory, safeguarding, and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain a warm, nurturing, and structured environment for residents.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with professionals and families.
  • Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and performance to ensure efficient operations.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of respect, resilience, and empowerment.

Essential Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Minimum of 2 years\' experience in a managerial or deputy role within a children\'s residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and support a team.
Desirable
  • Experience opening or improving a children\'s home.
  • A proven track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.
