Job Title: Residential Care Assistant (3-Month Temp, Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our team. This is a 3-month temporary role offering 32 hours per week, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a range of disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide person-centred care and support to individuals with diverse disabilities.
2. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility support, and meal assistance.
3. Conduct moving and handling tasks safely and effectively.
4. Monitor and address the specific needs of residents with epilepsy.
5. Ensure the safety and comfort of all residents under your care.
6. Administer medication and provide first aid as required (if trained).
7. Collaborate with colleagues and adhere to care plans and health guidelines.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with care standards.

Job Requirements:

1. Essential Qualifications/Certifications:
   1. Experience in a residential or adult care setting.
   2. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent experience in adult residential care).
   3. Certification in Epilepsy Awareness.
   4. Moving and Handling certification.
2. Preferred Skills/Certifications:
   1. Medication administration training.
   2. First Aid - Life Support (practical experience required; e-certificates not accepted).

Working Hours & Availability:

1. 32 hours per week on a rota basis.
2. Shifts may fall between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
3. Expected to work two weekends on and two weekends off.

Location:
This role is based in a location with limited public transport access; reliable transportation is recommended.
