Residential Children’s Support Worker – Melksham

Balfor Recruitment is currently recruiting Temporary to Permanent Residential Support Workers for a brand-new children’s home based in Melksham, Wiltshire.

Roles Available:
2 x Qualified Level 3 Children’s Residential Care Workers
3 x Unqualified Residential Support Workers (minimum requirement)

Location: Melksham, Wiltshire

Hours: 160 hours per month, flexible to the needs of the home

Shifts include:
10am – 11pm + sleep-in
8am – 10pm (day shift)

Flexible rota: block shifts (e.g., 2 days on, followed by extended breaks)

Pay: £13-£14

Full UK driving licence required

About the Role: As a Residential Support Worker at the home, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in their daily lives, helping them grow, thrive, and feel safe in their environment. Your duties will include:
– Supporting with morning and evening routines
– Assisting with school prep, meal times, and downtime
– Encouraging hobbies, social development, and life skills
– Providing emotional support and creating a positive atmosphere
– Being a reliable and compassionate presence in the home

This role is perfect for individuals passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people – especially those who may have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) or complex behavioral backgrounds.
