In your new role

This role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team supporting young people with complex needs related to their life experiences and childhood adversity.

What will you do?

  • Work positively, respectfully, and empowering with young people to promote good relationships and achievements.
  • Collaborate with a team to address social, emotional, educational, and mental health needs.
  • Encourage participation of young people in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills.
  • Write review reports, conduct risk assessments, and contribute to care plans.
  • Liaise with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of young people are maintained.

What we look for?

  • Understanding of developmental needs and milestones of young people.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Full UK manual driving licence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with young people, parents, and professionals.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise reports and verbally present information.
  • Capability to challenge individuals appropriately, remain calm, and stay objective in difficult situations.
  • HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3 in Care, or equivalent qualification, or willingness to undertake these qualifications.

Note: All Residential Childcare Workers must undergo a PVG check and obtain membership prior to starting. CareTech covers the cost. For roles in England, an Enhanced DBS check is also required, with costs covered by the employer.
