Job summary

Walsall Community Network is seeking a Residential Childcare Worker to provide direct care for children across various borough homes in Walsall. You will engage with children and their families and support positive outcomes in a child-centred setting.

The role requires resilience, enthusiasm, and teamwork as part of a on-rota service with unsociable hours including sleeping-in duties (additional payments). DBS clearance is required prior to appointment.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will hold a level three/four qualification in children’s residential care or equivalent.
• We also encourage applications from unqualified candidates who can demonstrate some experience with children, whether employed or voluntary.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for children and engage with them and their families.
• Support a child-centred approach in safe, small group homes to promote welfare.
