Residential Childcare Worker - Level 2

Location: Llandudno

Salary: £25,992 - £27,269 per annum

We are recruiting Residential Childcare Workers (Level 2) to join a registered Children's Home in Llandudno supporting up to 3 children with complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive local authority team dedicated to providing children and young people with a safe, homely environment where they can thrive.

The Role
  • Support children and young people to have their voices heard and achieve independence.
  • Plan and deliver creative, fun, and meaningful activities (e.g. swimming, baking, arts, trips to the park/beach).
  • Provide care and support in a safe, nurturing, family-style environment.
  • Support children who communicate through behaviours of concern, using positive and proactive approaches.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, both in the home and the wider community.
Requirements
  • QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) - essential to maintain registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Experience supporting children and young people who present challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
  • Resilient, caring, and committed to supporting children to reach their full potential.
  • Willingness to complete additional training, including Positive Behaviour Support, Makaton, and PECS.
