Job description

You arrive on shift. One child is building a tower of bricks, another is curled up in their favourite corner with a blanket. You greet them by name, and their faces light up. They know you. They trust you. You make things feel safe.

That’s what this role is about. As a Children’s Worker, you’ll be part of everyday moments that make all the difference – the routines, the laughter, the challenges and the quiet victories.

These young people have additional needs and unique personalities. Your job is to help them feel seen, supported and at ease.

You’ll:
  • Create simple routines that help children feel calm and confident
  • Join in play, crafts, stories or whatever brings a smile
  • Support personal care needs with dignity and kindness
  • Work as part of a team that pulls together and has each other’s backs
You bring:
  • Experience with children or in a caring role
  • Patience and calm, even when the day gets noisy
  • A willingness to learn and a heart that’s truly in it

It’s not about fixing things. It’s about being there – and being someone they can count on.

We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.

We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.

But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
