Headway Adolescent Resources has established a strong reputation in the residential adolescent childcare sector, focusing on holistic, individualised care regardless of background.

We are seeking Residential Child Care Workers for our new residential home on a casual basis, offering flexible hours with no contractual obligation.

Based in a children's residential home, you'll work with young people exhibiting challenging behaviour. Flexibility, resilience, honesty, and organization are essential, along with a commitment to high standards of childcare to support positive outcomes for young people.

Applicants must have:

  • Experience working with challenging young people (preferably in residential settings, but not essential)
  • QCF qualification in Children and Young People
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy and maintain clear records
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to complete daily records meeting statutory and policy requirements
  • Empathetic nature
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage young people
  • Full manual driving license (essential)

A sleep-in allowance of £ per night is provided as needed.
