Residential Childcare Support Worker (Sessional/Casual), Mitcheldean

Location: Lydney

Contract: Shift Pattern - ad-hoc cover

Salary: £. per hour plus sleep-in shifts when required

Headway Adolescent Resources has established a good reputation in the residential adolescent childcare sector, caring for young people holistically regardless of background.

We are seeking Residential Child Care Workers for our new residential home on a casual basis, offering flexible hours with no contractual obligation.

Working with young people with challenging behaviour, you should be flexible, resilient, honest, well-organized, and committed to high standards of childcare to help young people achieve positive outcomes.

Applicants must have:

  • Previous experience working with challenging young people (preferably in residential settings, but not essential)
  • QCF Level qualification in Children and Young People
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy and maintain clear records
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team attitude
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to complete daily records meeting statutory and policy requirements
  • Empathetic nature
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people
  • Full manual driving license essential
  • Sleep-in allowance of £ per night, as needed
