Job Description:

Liquid Personnel have an exclusive opportunity for a Residential Childcare Officer to join in Cardiff.

Your key responsibilities as a Residential Childcare Officer:

  • To provide a caring and supportive environment for children and young people. Respect and affirm their racial, cultural, and religious identity and lifestyle.
  • To advocate for and support children and young people, which could include representing them or accompanying them at schools, health facilities, job centers, and other events.
  • To assist in returning children/young people to their families or help them to move on to alternative carers or preparing them for adulthood as part of the Care Plan and Pathway Plan.
  • To help field social work staff, parents, and carers in the design and implementation of Care Plans and Placement Plans for each child/young person, considering the views of the child/young person.
  • Experience working with children or young adults – Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant/Childcare Provider.
  • Locations North – East – South West of Cardiff.
  • People willing to do sleep-ins are preferred but not essential.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Post-qualified experience.
