Job summary

Capability Scotland is seeking experienced Support Workers to join our residential, respite and Lifeskills services in Lanark.

You will support young people aged 5 to 20 with complex disabilities, helping them develop independence, confidence and life skills in a safe, caring environment. The role offers varied shifts, including days, evenings, sleepovers and weekends, with strong training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient, and reliable with people we support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts.
• UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Remaining vacancies are female-only due to intimate care requirements.

Responsibilities

• Personal care, dressing and medication support.
• Assisting with mobility and mealtimes.
• Supporting attendance at school and appointments.
• Encouraging participation in recreational and social activities.
• Lifeskills: building independence and community access activities.
• Respite support and life skills development.
