Overview

We seek compassionate individuals to support young adults in a residential home setting in Mid Devon. The residents are profoundly deaf and require assistance in their daily lives.

All residents communicate using British Sign Language (BSL), supported by AAC devices and visual aids.

Knowledge of BSL is preferred; training courses will be provided based on experience and qualifications.

Specialist equipment, such as fire systems, vibrating pads, Minicom, and internet access for FaceTime or Skype, are provided to assist with sensory challenges.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with local organizations to offer activities, hobbies, educational support, and opportunities to attend Deaf events and integrate into the Deaf community, alongside daily residential support.

We welcome passionate and creative individuals to join our experienced team and continue delivering excellent care.

You will receive support through a dedicated core team and on-the-job training.
