Job summary

Anderson Wright Consulting in Milton Keynes is seeking a Bank Residential Care Worker for a Children’s Home. This flexible, on-call position covers evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required, offering £14.00 per hour plus sleep-in payments where applicable.

You will provide high-quality, child-centred care, build trusting relationships, support daily routines and education, maintain records, and safeguard children's welfare in a nurturing home environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience in Ofsted-regulated children's home is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS and satisfactory pre-employment checks are required.

Location: Broughton, Milton Keynes (MK10)

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour + Sleep-In Payments (where applicable)

Our client is looking for caring, reliable and committed Bank Residential Care Workers to join their dedicated children's residential care team.

This flexible role is ideal for care professionals looking to work around existing commitments while making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people.

Working on a bank basis, you'll provide high-quality care and support in a warm, safe and nurturing home environment, helping children develop confidence, independence and positive life experiences.

Please note: To be considered for this role, you should either hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or have previous experience working within a children's residential care setting.

The Role

We're looking for candidates who have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) OR previous experience working within children's residential care.
• A caring, patient and resilient nature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins where required.
• A full UK driving licence is desirable.
