Job summary

Crystal Care Solutions Limited is recruiting a Team Leader for a residential children’s home in the Wilfred House area. You will lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure care plans are followed with trauma-informed practice while maintaining safeguarding standards.

The role requires at least 1 year in residential childcare, Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, strong planning and communication skills, and flexibility for weekend shifts and sleep-ins. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in residential childcare.
• Strong understanding of child development and trauma-informed practice.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or working towards it.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and legal frameworks.
• Ability to lead by example and maintain professional boundaries.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Resilient, motivated, adaptable and calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work weekends and sleep-ins; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support the team to deliver high-quality care in line with individual care plans.
• Provide supervision, guidance, and support to residential care staff.
• Oversee care plan development and review with trauma-informed approaches.
• Support daily operations and home standards alongside the Registered/Deputy Manager.
• Promote safeguarding and address concerns promptly.
• Build relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies.
• Mentor and develop new and existing staff through training.
• Contribute to home maintenance, records, budgets, and reporting systems.
