Job Role - Care Manager
Location - St Albans
Hours - 40 hours per week rotating (Apply online only)
Monday to Friday and every other weekend (2 days off in the week)
OverviewOur client is a leading Residential Care Company specialising in Elderly and Dementia Care. As the company continues to grow, this is a fantastic time to join as a Care Manager and develop your career. The role involves supporting the Manager in the day-to-day management of the home and deputising in their absence. The primary responsibility is to oversee the standard of care within the home and lead the team on the floor. The Care Manager will use the Person-Centred Software system and the Radar system to meet the required standards.
The Role- Assist the manager in running the home efficiently and compassionately.
- Maintain high care standards within the home.
- Report directly to the Home Manager or their designated representative.
- Support staffing levels and ensure the correct staff mix.
- Keep all necessary records in compliance with Local Authority, Health Authority, and government legislation.
- Help maintain high occupancy levels.
- Be responsible for fire prevention, equipment, and staff training related to fire safety and emergency procedures.
- Participate in relevant training and personal development to stay informed about legislation.
- Contribute to pre-admission assessments of prospective residents.
- Attend call-outs when necessary to ensure the safety of the home as part of planned out-of-hours support.
- Assess the needs of new and prospective residents and ensure they can be accommodated.
- Implement and monitor Care Plan systems.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident and operational information.
- Liaise with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
- Ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Meet with residents regularly to assess their needs.
- Maintain communication with care staff regarding care issues.
- Support residents' families and friends as appropriate.
- Assist in monitoring residents' dependency levels.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations regarding complaints.
