Job description

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Home Manager to manage a brand new learning disabilities care home opening soon based in the Beccles, Suffolk area.You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers

This is a brand new service opening soon which specializes in supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviors, including those who have been previously detained under the Mental Health Act or discharged from the hospital on a Community Treatment Order

**To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care**

As the Residential Home Manager your key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the home's budget, ensuring that financial targets are met, and costs are effectively managed
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and retain a team of skilled care professionals who are committed to delivering person-centred care
  • Role model and ensure PBS approach is delivered by the whole staff team
  • Participate in the growth and development of the care service
  • Responsible for ensuring that the home provides high-quality care to the people we support, whilst meeting financial targets and maintaining full occupancy

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Previous experience of managing a residential home with supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities
  • A good working knowledge, with a proven record of CQC standards and can work towards achieving Outstanding
  • You and the staff team will be trained in PBS and will sign up to a pledge to delivering that care, as well as receiving regular support from PBS leads and practitioners
  • Good communication skills and can maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of colleagues, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors
  • A proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home
  • Enthusiasm and passion for developing high level of person-centred care

The successful Residential Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum.This exciting position is a permanent full time role for 40 hours a week from 9am-5pm.In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
