Macklin Care Homes in Coleraine is seeking a Residential Care Assistant (Nightshift) at Ratheane Care Home to support nursing staff in providing care to residents with dementia, in line with standards.

Applicants should have experience in dementia care; you will assist with daily activities, monitor wellbeing, document care, and work flexibly with the team. This is a full-time night role with training and career progression opportunities.

We are currently recruiting Care Assistants (Nightshift) to join our friendly, caring, and progressive Ratheane Care Home, based in Coleraine. This is a vital role within the Home, working as a team to support the nursing staff in providing care to the social, emotional, and physical needs of the residents, in line with the Patient Charter of Rights, and under the Nursing Home Minimum Standards.
Applicants must have previous experience in dementia care, as this role is based within our residential unit.

Professional Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating and mobility.
• Delivering excellent quality, person-centred care to all residents.
• Enriching the lives of residents through the delivery of activities.
• Updating and maintaining accurate records in line with patient care.
• Supporting the nursing team with compliance policies and procedures.
• Fully flexible to support residents with one-to-one care as and when required.

Ideal candidate:

• Ability to deliver a high standard of resident care.
• Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills.
• Communicate and collaborate cooperatively with other staff members.
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
• High standard of personal presentation and attention to detail.
• Possess a good standard of verbal and written English.
• Be eligible to work in the UK.
