Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced CAD Planning Designer in Reading to join our team. You will prepare planning and presentation drawings using AutoCAD and develop site layouts and residential floor plans for housing developments.

You will also produce elevations and planning drawings for houses and apartment schemes. You will revise drawings per feedback, ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, and support the design team with technical drawing expertise across multiple live

Qualifications

• Experience producing AutoCAD drawings for UK residential housing developments.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning requirements.
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare planning and presentation drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop site layouts, masterplans and residential floor plans.
• Produce elevations and planning drawings for houses and apartments.
• Revise drawings in response to planning, design and client feedback.
• Ensure work complies with Building Regulations and industry standards.
• Support design team with technical drawing expertise throughout planning.
• Maintain accurate drawing records and version control.
• Work across multiple live projects and manage competing priorities.
