Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has become available at Cardiff Council Children’s Services. We are recruiting a Full-Time Administrative Officer for our Children’s Home, working with some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

This is a great time to join a service that puts the individual at the heart of its work. The new provision offers an opportunity to be innovative in understanding the needs of this important group of young people. The service adopts a strengths-based (Signs of Safety) and trauma-informed approach to meet the needs of children, young people, and their families.

The successful candidate will provide a professional, quality administrative service to residential services for children and young people.

You should have experience working in an office setting, with a good understanding of confidentiality. Responsibilities include maintaining spreadsheets, recording data accurately, and taking minutes or notes.

You will need to meet specific and challenging deadlines, follow set procedures and guidelines, and manage diverse workloads. Extensive knowledge of computer software packages, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, is required.

The role is site-based and not suitable for remote working.
