Residential Building Surveyor

Location: Darlington,North-East and North Yorkshire.

Opportunity

Our client is a growing and highly reputable consultancy with a strong presence in the North- East property sector. They are looking to appoint a Residential Building Surveyor to support continued demand and growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified (or nearly qualified) surveyor to join a supportive, ambitious yet friendly firm offering autonomy, a quality client base, an excellent variety of work and a clear progression route.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Level 2 (Homebuyer) and Level 3 (Building) Surveys on a variety of residential properties Provide clear, high-quality reports Inspect and diagnose building defects, damp, and structural concerns Advise on maintenance, repair options, and refurbishment where appropriate Work independently while contributing to the collaborative team culture

Candidate Requirements

  • AssocRICS, MRICS, FRICS, (or possibly enrolled on the APC pathway)
  • Demonstrable experience in residential building surveying
  • In-depth knowledge of building pathology and current UK regulations
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Using dictation or site notes (reports typed up by dedicated experienced team)
