Job summary

South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Crawley is seeking a Social Housing Call Handler to join a busy property services team. You will be the first point of contact for residents, handling enquiries and supporting repairs and maintenance services.

The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to manage a high volume of calls and coordinate appointments with residents and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in call centre, customer service or contact centre.
• Experience in social housing, property services, repairs or maintenance is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls from residents and customers.
• Respond to queries relating to repairs, maintenance and housing services.
• Log and update repair requests accurately on internal systems.
• Book and coordinate appointments for repairs and property services.
• Liaise with residents, contractors and internal teams to resolve queries.
• Provide regular updates to residents regarding outstanding repairs and appointments.
• Deal with complaints and provide professional responses.
• Ensure all calls and customer interactions are recorded accurately.
• Provide a professional and helpful service at all times.
