Job description

Are you an outstanding Junior Doctor looking for new challenges, career development, and a competitive salary?

As Resident Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role providing on-call cover for Cygnet Hospital Churchill, a 56-bed inpatient mental health hospital for men. The service includes four wards: two emergency acute admissions (Juniper Court and Palm Court) and two high-support inpatient rehabilitation services (Elm Court and Mulberry Court).

We deliver high-quality care through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach within a community atmosphere, focusing on discharge planning from the moment service users arrive.

You'll cover a mix of out-of-hours on-call (5pm - 9am / weekends) and day shifts on both wards, with access to Consultant advice.

You'll be responsible for 2:4 on-call shifts and additional days (approximately 10 weekdays and 4 weekend days over a 4-week period), plus extra on-call days to cover the remainder of the month.

Opportunities for career progression include support to complete MRCPsych exams.

At Cygnet, our perks extend beyond pension schemes and professional development, including shopping, travel, leisure discounts, and various healthcare and financial benefits to support your well-being.

Apply now to enjoy excellent career prospects and make a difference every day.
