Job Title: Resident Engineer

Are you a mechanically minded engineer seeking a site-based role with consistency, stability, and support? We are looking for a Resident Engineer to join a leading materials handling company, based full-time at a key customer site in Doncaster. Your responsibilities will include servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklift trucks and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE), ensuring minimal downtime and excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned maintenance and reactive repairs on various Material Handling Equipment
  • Diagnose faults and identify cost-effective solutions
  • Build strong relationships with the onsite team and customer
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Key Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical background, ideally from forklifts, automotive/vehicles, plant, or similar fields
  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar engineering role (field or site-based)
  • Excellent communication and fault-finding skills
