Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified technician to carry out service and repairs on equipment at customer sites, ensuring safety, professionalism, and cost-effectiveness, with proper documentation in line with health and safety standards.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on customer equipment, both on-site and occasionally off-site.
  • Monitor and manage site stock levels for maintenance operations.
  • Inspect and ensure the safety of repaired equipment.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and within deadlines, including job sheets and purchase requisitions.
  • Manage and maintain all tools and equipment in safe condition.
  • Adhere to strict schedules and deadlines.

Candidates should have knowledge in at least one of the following areas and be willing to undergo additional training: mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills and a commitment to high standards.

Essential qualifications include a full UK driving licence, fault-finding skills, GCSEs in English and maths at grade C or above, and experience with health and safety in a workshop environment.

Additional qualities include organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and resilience under pressure. Recent experience in forklift truck service is preferred but not essential.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. A company van and fuel card are provided, with private use permitted subject to tax regulations.
