Job summary

Linde Material Handling in the United Kingdom requires a Maintenance & Repairs technician to prepare forklifts for STR rental and USED sales, coordinating spare part orders as needed.

You will follow all H&S and Environmental policies, keep paperwork and IT systems accurate, and liaise with management for parts authorisation. A flexible approach and initiative are essential to support department operations.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
  • Electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical competencies essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare FLTs to STR rental and USED sales standards and arrange spare parts.
  • Adhere to H&S, environmental and site policies at all times.
  • Complete paperwork and IT systems accurately within deadlines (K1SS and ordering).
  • Liaise with management for parts authorisation and order numbers.
  • Maintain accurate stock/movement records and report failures promptly.
  • Be flexible to undertake additional duties to ensure smooth department operation.

Job description

MHE Maintenance & Repairs
  • To prepare FLT’s to the standard required for STR rental and USED sales, with all that this entails, and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible
  • To adhere to all company H&S and Environmental and site policies, procedures and practices and ensure we operate in an environmentally safe workplace.
  • Ensure K1SS and all paperwork/IT systems are completed accurately and within the stipulated time period and with the relevant order numbers
  • Liaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordingly
  • Work under own initiative without constant supervision
  • To ensure all allocated work is adhered to and to notify Manager if in arrears
  • Ensure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices and all Company Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.
  • To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct
  • Ensure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition and report any failures
  • To take on any reasonable additional duties as required by the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Any other duties which arise as a result of duties as above
