Job summary

Linde Material Handling in Ipswich is seeking a maintenance technician for MHE maintenance and repairs. The role focuses on preparing forklifts to the standard required for STR rental and USED sales, ordering spare parts, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies.

You will manage paperwork, liaise with management for authorisations, and work with initiative to keep the department running smoothly. A strong focus on accurate records and proactive fault reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is required.
• Electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical competencies are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare FLT’s to the standard required for STR rental and USED sales and order necessary spare parts.
• Adhere to all H&S, Environmental and site policies and practices and work in an environmentally safe workplace.
• Complete K1SS paperwork and IT systems accurately and within the required timeframes, with relevant order numbers.
• Liaise with management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers.
• Work under own initiative without constant supervision.
• Notify Manager if work is in arrears and ensure all allocated work is completed.
• Follow Engineering Standards, Safe Working Practices and Company Policies at all times.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and movement records.
• Keep all company equipment in satisfactory condition and report any faults.
• Take on additional duties as required by the Manager to keep the department running smoothly.

• To adhere to all company H&S and Environmental and site policies, procedures and practices and ensure we operate in an environmentally safe workplace.
• Ensure K1SS and all paperwork/IT systems are completed accurately and within the stipulated time period and with the relevant order numbers
• Liaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordingly
• Work under own initiative without constant supervision
• To ensure all allocated work is adhered to and to notify Manager if in arrears
• Ensure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices and all Company Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.
• To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct
• Ensure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition and report any failures
• To take on any reasonable additional duties as required by the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department
• Any other duties which arise as a result of duties as above
