Job Title: Resident Engagement Officer

Reports to: Regional Manager

Salary: From £12.21 per hour

Hours: 18 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 11.00am-5.00pm)

Contract Type: Part Time

The Role

The role involves interaction with on-site Housing Officers and coordinating with the head office to manage and promote various resident events. This includes advertising events via social media and in-house TV screens, creating event posters, and producing newsletters for residents.

The individual will also assist in facilitating events, such as coffee mornings, Christmas parties for residents, and summer activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They will upload event photos to a centralised system, write letters to tenants and external partners, and gather feedback to improve future events.

Additionally, the role includes encouraging resident participation, organising communal rooms and storage before and after events, and sending event reports to the PR team. The person will also keep the intranet up-to-date and provide administrative support to the office staff as needed.

  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively
  • Good written communication and computer literacy
  • Good IT skills and use of CANVA or other design software
  • Knowledge and interest in the arts, teaching, or social housing
  • Keen eye for event planning
