A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a full-time Registrar to oversee patient care within the Medicine Division. The successful candidate will coordinate ward rounds, support junior doctors, and lead teams in patient care decision-making. A medical degree and experience in a clinical setting are required. Join at an exciting time, with new hospital developments and a commitment to staff wellbeing and professional growth, offering flexible working options.
This is a full-time (9am–5pm) appointment working within the Medicine Division team, with additional participation in the medical registrar on-call rota to provide acute medical take and out-of-hours ward cover.
Working alongside Specialty Doctors, Consultants, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT), the post holder will provide high-quality care for general inpatients on the Care of the Elderly wards. These wards are well supported with daily consultant-led ward rounds and a team of junior doctors.
The Registrar will play a key role in organising ward rounds, reviewing unwell patients, identifying those fit for discharge, and leading the MDT in the absence of the Consultant. The role includes providing middle grade supervision and clinical support to junior doctors, active participation in decision-making, and ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care both during normal hours and while on call.
