Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a full-time Chef for Ledbury Nursing home to prepare nutritious meals for residents, plan menus, and lead a catering team. The role is based at Ledbury with 36 hours per week across 3 shifts, including alternate weekends.

• Preparing, cooking and serving fresh, high‑quality meals for residents.
• Planning varied, nutritious menus that cater for dietary, cultural and individual preferences.
• Supporting celebrations, themed events and special occasions with delicious catering.
• Ordering stock within budget and company guidelines using approved suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate food safety records in line with HACCP requirements.
• Ensuring the kitchen consistently meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following all procedures.
• Leading, motivating and supporting members of the catering team.
