What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Retirement team at Aspira Douglas Crossing Retirement Living, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Guest Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed:

1. Provide Resident Supervision and Assistance:
   1. Support residents with their activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming as per residents’ individual plans of care
2. Provide Resident Care and Services:
   1. Answering all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service.
   2. Ensures that residents own personal grooming is appropriate and uniform/dress is clean, tidy and according to dress code;
   3. Assist with transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
   4. Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
   5. Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.

1. You are compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully
2. You are detailed-oriented and have strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
3. You exercise tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families and general visitors

What you need to know:
