Verulam Health Care Ltd is seeking an Activities Coordinator for Verulum House in St Albans. The role provides a thoughtful programme of activities to promote social interaction and independence for residents, with responsibilities including group and one-to-one activities and liaising with staff.

The position is 14 hours per week, including alternating weekends, offering an induction, training, and benefits such as pension, DBS, uniform and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience organising activity programmes for adults.
• Ability to assess residents' needs and design activities accordingly.
• Experience working in a care home or similar elderly care setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Devise and arrange activities and entertainment within budget.
• Coordinate birthdays and special celebrations for residents.
• Lead group activities and individual activities to meet residents' needs.
• Collaborate with staff to support resident care and social needs.
• Transport residents to external activities using company minibus.
• Plan and provide light exercise/movement to music sessions.
• Produce monthly resident communications and maintain records.
