A local government council in the UK is looking for a coordinator to develop and support activities for individuals resettling in Herefordshire through government programs. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in community engagement, strong communication skills, and a knowledge of refugee resettlement. The role offers a competitive salary of £32,061 pro rata, flexible working options, and career progression opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and co-ordinate activities and support for those coming to live in Herefordshire, moving here through government resettlement schemes. This includes Afghan resettlement and those seeking asylum, including unaccompanied young people. The role will involve working with the individuals themselves as well as with local voluntary and community groups and a number of council departments to map what is already provided and the need for additional activity and support.
Community Wellbeing is connecting and belonging to the place where you live, feeling safe and having pride in your community.
