Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Strategic Resource Scientist to lead the Water Quality Strategy for the Reservoirs Programme. The role focuses on safeguarding drinking water quality from source to tap, developing sampling plans and risk assessments, and coordinating with regulators and partners.

You will work across development and operation stages, engage with stakeholders, and drive continuous safety and quality improvements within a major infrastructure project in the East of England.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Experience in water process science, water quality and public health.
• Knowledge of Regulation 28 and risk portal.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the production and development of a Water Quality Strategy aligned with the DWSP approach.
• Develop and deliver a comprehensive water quality sampling programme.
• Produce and maintain water quality risk assessments with SMEs.
• Manage communication and stakeholder engagement, reports and presentations.
• Drive a culture of Health & Safety compliance and continuous improvement.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including Anglian Water, Cambridge Water, DWI, EA and RAPID.
