Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Reservoir Safety Manager to lead the reservoir safety and statutory compliance activities within the Clean Water Asset Planning team. The role is based in Leeds with hybrid working, 37 hours a week, Mon–Fri, and offers a competitive salary (£64,000–£71,000) plus car allowance and bonus.

You will oversee inspections under Reservoirs Act, manage budgets and risk, build relationships with Environment Agency and contractors, and mentor engineers and graduates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Membership of ICE and/or British Dam Society preferred.
• Experience delivering Reservoirs Act compliance and inspection programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead reservoir safety and statutory compliance activities under Reservoirs Act and related regulations.
• Oversee inspections (Section 10/12) and track recommendations to delivery.
• Build relationships with Environment Agency, Supervising Engineers, contractors and internal teams.
• Drive planning and delivery of reservoir maintenance, safety interventions and capital programmes.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities; manage budgets and risks.
