Job summary

Sompo International is seeking a Reserving Technical Analyst to join the Reserving Technical Team in London or New York. The role focuses on data management, in-house reserving tools, and ensuring accuracy of reserve calculations through development and validation of the SRP platform.

You will collaborate with actuarial, finance, IT and claims, perform data controls, generate regulatory reports, and support quarterly reserving processes while driving efficiency and quality across the reserving

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong programming skill in SQL and experience with ETL and data warehousing.
Proficiency with actuarial reserving software and tools; excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of in-house reserving platform and tools.
Execute data controls and validation processes; manage data sets for reserving.
Collaborate with actuaries to implement robust reserving methodologies and produce core/regulatory reports.
Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and support internal/external audits.
