Job summary

Axis Capital is seeking a Reserving Analytics lead in London or New York to turn complex data into clear insights for reserving decisions. You will work with Reserving, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics to deliver dashboards, datasets, and self-service tools that illuminate loss development, claims trends, exposure changes, and earlier indicators.

Qualifications

• Experience in data, analytics, actuarial, finance, or related insurance/reinsurance role.
• Ability to design and deliver dashboards and self-service tools for business users.
• Strong understanding of insurance/reinsurance data domains.
• Experience leading through influence with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Reserving team and stakeholders to understand needs.
• Define the reserving analytics roadmap with clear business value.
• Design and deliver dashboards and datasets for loss development and claims trends.
• Replace static reports with interactive insight tools.
• Explain and monitor reserve signals and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with actuarial, data science, and AI teams to explore analytics.
• Promote responsible use of AI with governance.
• Create intuitive visualizations showing reserving movements and uncertainty.
• Improve how insights are communicated for management discussions.
• Define standards for reserving metrics and data definitions.
• Collaborate across architecture, governance, finance to align data.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and build reusable capabilities.
• Take on additional responsibilities aligned with role.
