A day in the life of…

As a Reservations Coordinator, your role will be to manage the day to day reservations sales activities, converting enquiries and updating new and existing reservations, to create positive guest experiences and to drive revenue growth in line with the hotels commercial strategies.

Based in the Crowne Plaza Newcastle, you will be part of a team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn’t always mean working around the clock.

Key responsibilities:

  • Respond to all telephone and email enquiries.
  • Create new reservations and update billing information and special requests in OPERA PMS.
  • Manage billing and payments.
  • Build excellent relationships with regular bookers and agencies.
  • Coordinate final details and rooming lists for group reservations.
  • Take part in daily business reviews with the reservations and meeting & events sales teams to identify opportunities.

The shift pattern is Monday - Friday, with alternating shifts 07:30-16:00 and 08:30-17:00. The Sales office is open on Saturdays and one you have completed your probation you would be scheduled for approximately 1 Saturday in every 10 weeks.

Most importantly, to be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards. At Crowne Plaza Newcastle we look for personality over experience, so it goes without saying that you will have bags of personality and a real flair for hospitality.

We are looking for a candidate with experience within either the front office or commercial sales team of medium-large upscale branded properties, OPERA PMS experience is advantageous.
