The Role

We are looking for a Reservations Agent to join our team and play a key role in handling room bookings, maximising revenue, and ensuring a seamless guest experience. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, you will also collaborate with various departments to optimise occupancy and support the hotel's sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling reservation enquiries via phone, email, and online booking systems
  • Managing room bookings efficiently and accurately
  • Processing group reservations, contracts, rooming lists, and handling VIP requests
  • Coordinating room allocations and ensuring booking accuracy
  • Handling payments and invoicing for individual and group bookings
  • Maximising room revenue through upselling and promotional offers
  • Identifying and generating sales leads for the sales team to pursue
  • Assisting the front desk team with guest check-ins, check-outs, and front office duties as needed
  • Liaising with revenue management to analyse booking trends and optimise occupancy
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating reservation systems

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a reservations, front office, or customer service role (hotel experience preferred)
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience handling group bookings, contracts, and room allocations is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Guestline and Opera Cloud would be highly beneficial
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and pass on sales opportunities
  • A positive, professional, and friendly attitude
  • Flexibility to assist with front desk operations when required
