This full-time, fixed-term position is available for an immediate start until April 2027. The Public Health Economics and Health Economics Groups at the University of Exeter are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate or Fellow to conduct project-related research focused on economic and data analysis within public health and health economics.
The successful candidate will work across various research projects, employing quantitative methods such as economic analyses, economic evaluations, and evidence synthesis. They will collaborate with a national team of researchers, including academics from multiple UK universities, NHS leaders, clinicians, patients, and other stakeholders.
The University of Exeter is a member of the NIHR School for Public Health Research, with the School for Public Health Environments Research at Exeter (SPHERE) as its interdisciplinary research hub. The Public Health Economics Group, led by Professor Antonieta Medina-Lara, focuses on research in Food, Employment, Mental Wellbeing, and Global Health, utilizing diverse methodologies. The Health Economics Group, led by Professor Anne Spencer, conducts policy-relevant research to inform health and healthcare decisions.
Applicants should possess a relevant Masters, PhD, or equivalent in economics, health economics, or a related quantitative discipline. They must demonstrate sufficient research knowledge and methodological skills to contribute effectively to the groups' projects.

Interviews are scheduled for the week of 9th June 2025. The starting salary ranges from £34,132 (Grade E) for a Postdoctoral Research Associate or from £42,882 (Grade F) for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, depending on qualifications and experience.
