Job Description
Are you keen to make a difference to the culture and environment that shapes how research happens? We’re looking for an organised, collaborative individual to join our Research Culture and Environment team as a Researcher Development Coordinator.
This is a varied role at the heart of efforts to build an inclusive, supportive research community at Leeds Beckett. As part of a small team, you’ll play a key role in nurturing our research culture, whether that’s helping to design and deliver development opportunities, supporting innovative and ethical research practices, or bringing colleagues together across disciplines to share ideas and foster a sense of community.
You’ll be involved in everything from coordinating engaging researcher development programmes, to contributing to events and communications, and supporting initiatives that drive collaboration and positive change across our research community. There is plenty of scope to work closely with academic and professional colleagues, as well as external partners, to help ensure our activities are aligned with both institutional priorities and sector best practice.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys variety, and who is motivated by the opportunity to support others. You’ll bring experience of delivering training or development programmes, strong organisational skills, and an eye for detail. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as is a flexible, proactive approach and the confidence to manage your own workload across a range of projects.
This is a great opportunity to develop your career in a forward-thinking university, making a meaningful contribution to the wider research environment and helping colleagues at every career stage to thrive.

Working here means you’ll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more.
We welcome applications from all individuals and particularly from black and minority ethnic candidates as members of these groups are currently under-represented at this level of post. All appointments will be based on merit.
