Northumbria Police seeks a Researcher for a fixed-term role in their Intelligence Analytical department. This position involves supporting crime analysis through data research and collaboration with various agencies. Hours/Contract: 25.75 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract

The role
Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Force Coordination and Operations Department as a Researcher.
Working as part of a team of researchers and analysts your work will be key to the delivery of effective problem solving in support of the local aims and objectives and intelligence processes.
This role sits within the Intelligence Analytical department and is part of a team involved in supporting a team of analysts linked to tactical, strategic and operational requirements.
Intelligence Researchers form a key part of the analytical function within the Intelligence unit. Their primary role is to provide research support to the Intelligence Analysts by assisting in the collation of intelligence and evidence regarding crimes and criminals. They also conduct research in relation to intelligence development, utilising internal and external police force databases and when appropriate initiating enquiries with partnership and other external agencies or businesses.
