Job description

The Papotto Lab at The University of Manchester is looking for a research technician with strong immunology and organizational skills for a period of 12 months, starting in May 2025.

You will provide technical assistance to ongoing research projects in the lab, studying the role of skin innate-like lymphocyte cells in regulating local and distal immune response to allergens, helminths, and other inflammatory insults.

Experience with techniques in the fields of immunology, molecular biology, and parasitology, and the ability to understand the immunological concepts underlying the project is essential. Organizational skills are also essential, as you will be responsible for maintaining a support structure to the ongoing experiments.

Finally, the ability to work as part of a dynamic team working in different aspects of mucosal immunology is highly valued.
