Job description

Applicants are invited to apply for a 7-month Barts Charity funded post-doctoral position to join Prof Dunja Aksentijevic's team. The position is part of the Barts Metabolism Network, which brings together researchers across the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry to investigate how dysregulated metabolism leads to obesity and associated long-term health problems.

The project will focus on examining the impact of changes in cardiac function and metabolism in diabetic cardiomyopathy.

Essential qualifications include a strong background in animal in vivo physiology techniques (such as in vivo monitoring, colony maintenance, genotyping), along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

The position is based within the Barts Metabolism Network at the Centre for Biochemical Pharmacology, William Harvey Research Institute.
