Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research Technician to join Prof Rakesh Heer’s lab at Imperial College London, Hammersmith Hospital. There are 2 full-time posts funded by Prostate Cancer UK (PCUK).

The TRANSFORM Discovery and National Prostate Cancer Bio-Digital Twin is part of the national prostate screening study TRANSFORM, funded by PCUK and NIHR. The study aims to capture digital data and biospecimens from up to 300,000 men to support biomarker testing, translational and discovery science, and in silico trials to inform clinical care. The post-holder will contribute to the collection, processing, storage, and dispatch of tissue and blood samples, collaborating with academic and commercial partners to develop new treatments, diagnostics, and technologies for prostate cancer.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team involved in collecting, processing, storing, and analyzing digital data. The role requires teamwork, interdisciplinary research, and daily interaction with lab members, scientists within Imperial College, and external collaborators.
