A leading company in sustainable food production is seeking a Research Technician for their Fermentation Development Centre. The role involves designing and running experiments, focusing on Mycoprotein production, and requires a strong background in food science or biotechnology.
Quorn Foods & Marlow Ingredients are delighted to be recruiting for a Research Technician to join our Fermentation Development Centre at our facility in Billingham.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Do you have an interest in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or biotechnology? Are you passionate about healthy, sustainably produced food?
Helping to design, prepare and run experiments that assist us to understand the Mycoprotein production process, you'll demonstrate an ability to to follow defined SOP's to complete both routine analytical and experimental tasks such as running HPLC, rheological analysis, making biological growth media, preparing fermenters and calibrating equipment.
Furthermore, you will also independently design and execute small scale projects, feeding back data which assists our team of scientists with their various portfolios of work and focus.

The Recruitment Process

1st Stage - 30/45 mins Microsoft Teams introductory call with our Managing Scientist & Resourcing Partner
2nd Stage - in-person interview and tour at our facility in Billingham with key stakeholders from our Fermentation Development team
